Ítem Prácticas sostenibles en turismo, alternativa para contrarrestar los efectos del cambio climático en zonas costeras(UNASA, 2026) Carlos Rolando BarriosClimate change has severely impacted communities in the coastal areas of El Salvador, which is why the study addressed the reality of inhabitants and businesses located in the coastal territories belonging to the central/eastern region, departments that have not yet experienced depredation by foreign hotel and tourism companies. The proposed question was: Can sustainable practices contribute to emerging from poverty conditions in communities of coastal territories? The study was descriptive, employing quantitative and qualitative techniques. Finally, the results reflect little knowledge of sustainable practices among both inhabitants and those responsible for tourist service businesses.
